Ideas, Inventions and Successes - International Trade Fair iENA 2017
From 2 to 5 November 2017 inventors from all over the world again present their ideas, inventions and new products covering the most various areas of life in Nuremberg. This year about 700 inventions are again introduced at the international trade fair iENA. Top-class programmes as well as contacts with important partners and information for inventors complement the services offered by the Inventors’ Fair. The iENA 2017 is additionally complemented by the trade fair START for start-ups, business-financing, -succession and franchising (November 4 and 5).
Nuremberg – Following the motto "discover the world of tomorrow already today” the visitors of the iENA 2017 can get acquainted with promising inventions. Numerous products which have become part of today’s everyday life such as the wheeled suitcase, the insulating rescue blanket and water wings were first introduced at the iENA but also many scientific developments in the medical and industrial field were first presented to the public in Nuremberg.
International Meeting Point for Inventors
Different national and international inventors announced their participation in the iENA 2017. Teams of inventors from countries such as Angola, China, Croatia, Kuwait, Poland and Taiwan have already registered. More will follow until autumn. Contacts with inventors from Morocco, Romania, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey were established to bring a multifaceted international potential of ideas to the fair in Nuremberg.
Also German inventors always show their great inventiveness and inventive talent at the iENA. The Steinbeis-Transferzentrum will be present with promising inventions and the Erfinderclub Schleswig-Holstein will again be participating in the fair with its members in 2017.
Youth Researches – Youth Invents
The young inventors always play a big role at the iENA. Every year the students show an enormously high innovation potential and inspire visitors and representatives of the economy. Different aspects around the potential of the young inventors are discussed in the iENA program such as "Youth Researches – Youth Invents" and the question "Why are STEM-fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) important in school?”
Information and Support for Inventors
The iENA offers a broad range of information around the filing of patents as well as about industrial property and trademark rights. Entrepreneurs, experts and an enormous potential of ideas meet in the forum of the fair. On the last days of the fair the iENA-inventors have the opportunity to personally present their inventions to the expert audience. Every year the highlight of the iENA is the award of the medals: All inventions of the iENA 2017 are again evaluated by a panel of experts and the most promising ideas, inventions and new products are awarded the much treasured iENA medal.
From an Idea to a Big Seller
The iENA innovation seminar (on Friday, 3 November) is under the motto “From the Idea to the Innovation – Generating and Implementing New Products and Processes”. The iENA-Innovation Seminar is supported by the “IHK-Anwender Club” (User Association of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry).
A panel discusses the problems and approach starting with the creative idea to a marketable product, as well as the objective of making the best use of new ideas. Experts from universities, representatives of the economy and of the IHK (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) Nuremberg for Mid Franconia will lead an inspiring discussion regarding this topic.
iENA and START Messe – a Successful Liaison
The iENA-START-Symposium (on Saturday, 4 November) will take place subsequently to the panel discussion and cover the topic “With the Idea to Success – Introduction of Inventions to the Economy”. Here the focus is on the question how more inventions can be introduced into the market efficiently and
purpose-oriented, thereby strengthening Germany’s innovative capacity. The Federal Funding Advisory Service (Förderberatung im Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie), the Technical Control Board “TÜV Rheinland Consulting GmbH”, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nuremberg (IHK Nuremberg) as well as other experts around the topics start-ups, business-financing and -succession will be participating.
International Trade Fair iENA 2017
The international trade fair “Ideas – Inventions – New Products” iENA will take place from 2 to 5 November 2017 at the fairgrounds Nuremberg. On 4 and 5 November, the iENA will be supported by the trade fair START Nuremberg which offers information around the topics start-ups, business-financing, -succession and franchising.
