Inventor’s Trade Fair iENA Nuremberg is the international hub of invention for four days

Around 800 inventions and new product ideas from more than 30 countries are expected from October 28-31, 2010 at the world-leading international trade fair for “Ideas-Inventions-New Products”/ contact exchange for freelance inventors and forum for marketing inventions/ numerous country collectives and specialized visitors from around the world contribute to the international nature of the trade fair

Nuremberg – As the only trade fair of its kind in Germany, the iENA, International Trade Fair for “Ideas-Inventions-New Products”, invites you to the Nuremberg Trade Fair Center from October 28-31, 2010. Global economic problems are increasing interest in innovative product ideas and real problem solutions. With this background, the iENA was able to set a new record last year with around 800 inventions from 33 countries and specialized visitors from 44 nations.

The iENA 2010 will once again impressively demonstrate that the creativity of inventors is nearly inexhaustible. Due to the strong exhibitor demand, the organizer, AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen, considers it likely that the record turnout from the previous year will be repeated. The high level of exhibitor satisfaction at the last trade fair in 2009 should also contribute to this. In a questionnaire, 75% assessed the contact opportunities at the iENA as very good and good, 17% were satisfied and only 4% were dissatisfied. Around a third of all exhibitors were able to make concrete deals during the trade fair.
On the first two days of the iENA, only specialized visitors have access. On October 30/31, the general public can also get an overview of the newest inventions.

German inventor clubs document innovative energy
The SIGNO-inventor clubs, to which a large portion of German inventors belong, exhibit in the largest joint booth of the iENA. The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) supports the important work of the German inventors’ club with its SIGNO-program.

International presence
The organizer already has received commitments for country collectives from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Korea, Croatia, Malaysia, Austria, Russia, Hungary, Poland, and Taiwan. By the start of the trade fair at the end of October, the organizers expect additional official country participations.

iENA supports the work of freelance inventors
The iENA especially offers freelance inventors an international forum with great publicity and numerous consulting and information opportunities related to inventing. For example, many inventors have a great deal of technical-creative potential, but there are often information deficits, with regard to copyright laws or professional marketing of their own inventions. In addition to the inventor associations and inventor clubs, the German Patent and Copyright Office and the patent offices of European states provide valuable assistance here with their information booths.

Youth inventions are another focus
The trade fair has been focusing on youth inventions for years. This time too, youthful inventors and trainees will surprise the experts with their amazing ideas. For the first time, the winning teams of the student competition “Vision-Ing21” for natural science and technology will present their projects at the Nuremberg iENA. The participants in this competition come from secondary schools, middle schools, and vocational grammar schools. During the school year, they work on natural science and technical problems together with a business partner.

Students from the Maristengymnasium Fürstenzell, the winners of the competition “Jugend forscht” (“Youth researches”), trainees of the project “Azubi forscht” (“Trainee researches”) by Pfleiderer AG, and the youth inventors of the SIGNO inventors’ club will also once again show off their latest ideas.

Transfer of knowledge at the iENA-SIGNO-symposium and in the forum of the iENA
The iENA- SIGNO-symposium makes an important technical contribution, which deals this time with how technology and innovation knowhow can be integrated into school lessons. The lecture pro-gram in the iENA-forum offers insight into the creative work of inventors and creates a dialog between inventors and visitors. In addition, interesting new developments are presented in the iENA-Forum.
